A tool is used to unclog your nozzle by forcing the filament through the nozzle.
Heat the nozzle to 5 degrees above the max temperature of your filament and insert the tool into the filament path.
Make sure to loosen off the pressure on the drive/gear to avoid damage to the teeth of the drive gear.
As you push down make sure to counteract the downward pressure to avoid bending the rods.
