This Laser Module features a red 650nm 5mW Class 3R laser emitter and should be powered by 5V.
You can either power the Laser Module directly with 5V or from a digital pin.
NOTE: While the laser on our Laser Module KY-008 features "only" a 5mW Class 3R red laser, *do never - ever* point the laser at a person, animal, cars, trains, etc.
The middle pin is not used, however it will output the same voltage as the VCC pin. Great for monitoring if the device is connected.
