The MLX90614ESF-BAA is an infrared thermometer for non-contact temperature measurements with a wide Field of View at a whopping 90°.

An internal 17-bit ADC and a powerful DSP contribute to the MLX90614’s high accuracy and resolution and makes it perfect for a wide range of applications.

The MLX90614 has a number of applications including body temperature measurement and movement detection.

Both the IR sensitive thermopile detector chip and the signal conditioning ASIC are integrated on the same TO-39 package.

This sensor comes with a breakout board with all of the components needed for operation and can be interfaced via I2C.

The thermometer comes factory calibrated with a digital SMBus output giving full access to the measured temperature in the complete temperature range(s) with a resolution of 0.02°C.

In the temperature range of -20 to 120°C, it features an output resolution of 0.14°C.
